Driving instruction licenceDriving instruction licences are granted by the police. This licence can only be granted for up to nine months and, by law, a new licence may not be granted without a valid reason. A driving instruction licence can be obtained no more than six months before the learner reaches the minimum age required for the particular type of driving licence. The instructor and learner must submit the application together and in person. The licence must be paid for when submitting the application. When applying for a driving instruction licence (class B), the following must be submitted: Instructor: · certificate of a successfully completed theory test issued by the examiner and a vehicle inspector's certificate for a successful vehicle modification inspection · driving licence · extract from the vehicle register (If the owner or holder of the car is not a family member, a letter of consent from the owner must be attached to the application.) · account of a minimum of three years’ driving experience with a vehicle equivalent to the one in which the instruction is to be carried out (e.g. a confirmation signed by two people) Learner:
At the police department, the applicant must also fill in a driving licence permit application form, and a form asking whether he/she already has a driving licence or is banned from driving in another EU or EEA country.
